Téthys Bootcamp introduced Bootcamp I. This course teaches students to manage onboard incidents beyond piracy and terrorism. Learn legal frameworks, prevention, and response through real scenarios. Gain confidence, reduce liability, and support justice.
Desgined for everyone working at sea. Ideal for maritime security personnel. ISPS/STCW certification is a bonus, not required.
This bootcamp is here to help crew and designated personnel to improve skills in preventing and responding to incidents at sea.
The goal is to build awareness and boost confidence, so the right action during security events are been taken.
The training is made for crew and staff involved in managing incidents, including:
- The Master and Officers, who lead on security and emergency response;
- Security Personnel, who help keep the ship safe and enforce the rules;
- other designated crew or staff involved in spotting risks and handling incidents.
By the end of the course, they will understand how to follow the law, prevent risks, and respond effectively.

The curriculum compromises:
- Module 1 covers the legal framework.
- Module 2 looks at the incident environment at sea.
- Module 3 introduces principles of prevention and response.
- Module 4 explains police roles and challenges at sea.
- Module 5 presents scenarios for personal reflection
- Module 6 completes the course with the exam and a certificate.
To pass the exam, students need at least 85 percent on 12 multiple-choice questions.
